I’m trying to decide what I think about all of this Charlie Sheen nuttiness. If you take the position he doesn’t have serious mental-health issues — an implausible position, I think – and you don’t care one bit about his drug problem, he’s still an absolutely ridiculous person who doesn’t “deserve” a fraction of the attention he so clearly enjoys. But if his drug problem and his mental health aren’t issues, then he is also an immensely entertaining or at least engrossing spectacle. It’s rare to see someone own his idiocy and self-destruction so completely, never mind so boldly. He makes it hard to look away.
On the other hand, there are problems. First of all, what he’s doing to his family is disgusting even if he is sane and sober. Moreover, he may be (temporarily) sober, but it’s not clear to me he’s sane. Regardless, there’s a certain flies-on-fecal-matter aspect to the spectacle, as well. Watch this segment on Good Morning America, where George Stephanopolous gamely tries to make ABC’s exclusive interview with Sheen into something serious and important, when the truth is that everyone involved is simply turning the cameras on a human trainwreck for the ratings. It’s impossible for me to feel sorry for anyone save his family and the crew members of his TV show who lost their jobs. And I can hardly condemn the entertainment press for trying to satisfy demand for a better view. But I could do with a good deal less “serious” coverage of this entirely unserious human being.
Charlie Sheen: My Live-In 'Goddesses' Don't Judge Me

Logging in more time on the talk-show circuit than he is on his own show Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen offered a peek inside what he calls "Sober Valley Lodge" – the L.A. mansion he shares with two women he calls "the goddesses": Natalie Kenly, a self-described porn star, and model Rachel Oberlin.
"These women don't judge me.," the actor told NBC's Today show, which he invited back into his home only hours after an interview Monday – the same day that his publicist quit.
"They don't judge me," Sheen repeated. "They don't lead with opinion. They don't lead with their own needs all the time. They're honest enough to tell me, ‘Hey, look, you – you know, park your nonsense. You gotta help me solve this.' And we solve it."

When it comes to household decisions, he said, "Everybody's vote has equal importance. But when we're approaching crisis, I remind them, 'Look, I'm 22 years further down the road ... my plan is gonna be the best one in the room. So, just trust me on that and everybody will win. Everybody will win and everybody's needs will be taken care of."
As for life in the house, he also told ABC's Good Morning America on Tuesday, "It's perfect. It's awesome. Every day is just filled with just wins. All we do is put wins in the record books … We win so radically in our underwear before our first cup of coffee, it's scary. People say it's lonely at the top, but I sure like the view."
Rejects Father's Words
Not everyone may agree. Sheen's father, Martin Sheen, and brother, Emilio Estevez, appeared together on Britain's Sky News and expressed their concerns for Charlie – who stated right back that he will have none of it.
"They tried," said Sheen. "But I said, ‘You know, I'm not ready, I'm not interested in your rhetoric right now. I appreciate your love, your compassion, if that's what you wanna call it. But I'm 45 years old, and I'm not interested in people treating me like a 12-year-old."
When Today interviewer Jeff Rosen read Tweets and email to Sheen from fans expressing their concern for him, the actor – who is threatening CBS and Warner Bros. with legal action to resume production of his sitcom – lashed out at those who dared criticize him and suggested they use their time to find jobs instead.

Add one more name to Charlie Sheen's hate list.
The actor's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, quit after Sheen booked a slew of bizarre and no-holds-barred interviews in the last week.
"I have worked with Charlie Sheen for a long time and I care about him very much," Rosenfield says in a statement. "However, at this time, I'm unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned."

Sheen, 45, who has been attacking Two and a Half Men co-creator Chuck Lorre, fired back at the high-profile rep whose clients include George Clooney and Kelsey Grammer.
Calling Rosenfield a profanity, Sheen tells TMZ, "He's not allowed to quit, so you're fired."
The big issue today is…do I watch the guys on American Idol or do I watch Glee? I can always see the rerun of Glee – but they don’t run the full AI episodes. So – probably I’ll watch AI. If it were the girl’s night it wouldn’t be an issue as I don’t think there are that many talented girls. But there are a couple of the guys that can sing. And I really want to hear how well they do.
Dennis Praeger has Mike Hucabee on his show.
3:21 – I can’t say that I’ve worked the entire 4 hours just passed – I did visit the website Awkward pet Photos and Awkward Family Photos – got a few chuckles from those. Also made a comment on FB on mark’s site – today is his birthday. We are all turning 50. It’s weird. I didn’t think I’d ever make it this far. Seriously – for a long time I never expected to make it to 50. I’m so glad I did make it here. I need to recreate my life and who I am. Not so much recreate – just decide what’s important to me – and spend time working on making myself who I want to be.
