Monday, February 28, 2011 –
This was a busy weekend!  Saturday night mom & I went to Megan and Bryan’s wedding in Kingwood and the reception in Humble.  We got lost from the church to the reception for about 30 minutes. That was miserable.
We finally found it – it was in “old town” Humble. We were the last to arrive.  The bride, groom & wedding party had already made it.  But they had just said the prayer over the food – but hadn’t started serving yet – so we weren’t too late.  I sat with my cousin Sherry and Kate Berg – Jeremy’s wife.  I’ve always liked Jeremy – he’s always an interesting guy with something to add to every conversation.  And he’s very likable.  This was my first time to meet Kate and she is a doll. She was a lot of fun to talk with.  She and Jeremy live in Wisconsin where she is from.  We talked about the similarities and differences between Texas & Wisconsin.
Sherry has a Sheltie – Flair – who is a “support” dog – so gets to go everywhere.  She sat under Sherry’s chair and I didn’t hear a peep out of her. Except every once in a while I would feel her brush against my leg and it’d startle me as I’d forgotten she was there.
And of course mom wasn’t feeling well and wanted to go home early – so we left before the cake was cut.  But we did stay through the bride & groom’s dance – the father/daughter dance, the mother/son dance and a slide-show that Megan had put together for her mother.  I was kinda ugly and got up during the mother/son dance and I didn’t clap like I did for the other two.  That’s sad – but Diane is just an ugly person.  She and Ashley had at first said they weren’t going to be at the wedding – but they did show – and Ashley didn’t even say hello to her grandmother.  It really hurt my Aunt Betty.  I didn’t know she hadn’t said anything to her.  Would I have tried to force Ashley to at least say hi?  I think Bryan should have taken her over to at least acknowledge her.  I didn’t recognize her – it’d been 15 least 15 years since I’d seen her.  Mom went over and said hi at the church before the wedding.  I didn’t mingle with anyone – so I didn’t feel compelled to go say hi to Diane and Ashley.
So we were at home by 9:30ish.
Sunday I went to Verizon to get a new phone and ended up bringing home a Motorola Droid.  It’s an $800 phone – for signing up for a two year contract I got it for $250 with a $50 rebate.  I didn’t need to spend that much – but it has internet, navigation, voice activated, music and video downloadable……so it’s a garmen, ipod, laptop, and a phone all in one. It will be perfect now that I can’t log onto Facebook at work.  Once I learn how to use it….LOL
11:06am – It’s 11:06….and I’m already clock watching.   L  I wanna be at home….bad ol’ Monday
