My week of hell starts today. I must compile the e-billing inv status report. It takes me over a week – I have to do it every month on the 15th – and it is so grueling…
9:29a - OMG! Mike Gallagher was just talking about the tanning booth tax – I’d heard about this tax before – Hugh Hewitt was talking about it last year with my honey bunny Mark Steyn – I’m sorry I know he’s married – but his accent makes my knees weak….uh…back to topic at hand…OH YEAH! Tanning booth tax…so mark was saying it was prejudice against all those pasty white people in New Hampshire – but I never thought about it being a Caucasian racial thing! Black people don’t tan – this tax directly affects Caucasian people ONLY! How racist is THAT Michelle OBAMA-MAMA? That does tick me off just a little bit. What a witch!
11:33A –
The Kindle is on sale at Target again for $139. I think I’m going to get one this weekend. I want to purchase Dean Koontz’s ebook – Darkness Under the Sun. It is a companion book to What the Night Knows.
Plus – all the Odd Thomas books and all the Frankenstein books. Those are my absolute favorites of Dean Koontz’s.
I am going to try to be very conservative in my purchase of books. Like – only one at a time. ALSO – I really want a new iPod Nano. My old one doesn’t work, I’ve lost all my music – and the new nano has 8gb’s for $145 – although the 16gb is only $175. The iPod classic has 160GB but it’s $250.00
AND – for my birthday I was thinking about on buying a Nintendo DS XL - $169
I’m going to go heat up my chicken & dumplin’ soup…

From Dennis Prager: Marry with your brain, your heart, and your sexuality. – not necessarily split 33%, 33%, 33% - but with all of those involved.
Ps. I’m going to go dump out my chicken & dumplin’ soup. Bleckish. I did eat a can of sliced pears that was yummy.
You too, huh?
In an interview slated to air Sunday on the CBS-TV show "60 Minutes," Brown said he was abused several times by the counselor.
Brown also said he suffered physical abuse at the hands of his stepfathers, according to a news release issued by the show.
Brown told interviewer Lesley Stahl that even his mother didn't know about the abuse.
"That's what happens when you're a victim. You're embarrassed. You're hurt," he said.
Brown said the camp counselor had touched him and he had been forced to touch the counselor. He said the counselor threatened to kill him if he told anyone about what had happened.
"Fortunately, nothing was ever fully consummated, so to speak, but it was certainly, back then, very traumatic," he said.
Brown gave the interview on the eve of publication of his memoir "Against All Odds."
In promotional material for his book, Brown said he was subjected to “a savage beating at the drunken, dirty-fingernail hands of a stepfather” at the age of 6 after stepping in to defend his mother from abuse.
He told "60 Minutes" he once took a tour when a house where he had lived with an abusive stepfather came up for sale. "As I left, I said, 'Man, I wish I had the money. I'd just buy this thing and burn it down," he told the show.
Brown caught the national spotlight in January 2010 when he won a special election to replace the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the liberal lion of the Senate who had represented the state for decades. His election upended the political landscape and turned out to be a harbinger of a Republican resurgence in the fall elections.
New Study Highlights Cold-Busting Properties of Zinc
People also tend to spend more time indoors during winter, which increases the frequency of close contact with one another, and boosts the likelihood of virus transmission. In addition, viruses remain in common space areas such as elevators and break rooms, as well as on surfaces such as countertops, doorknobs, and telephones.
The normal duration of a cold is about seven days, and although the virus may make you more susceptible to other bacterial infections, it does not cause them. Therefore, if your symptoms begin to improve and then worsen over a period of days, a visit to your doctor is advisable.
As to the outcome of the new study, it is not yet clear as to what dosage of zinc is sufficient for the prevention and cure of the cold virus. The researchers concluded that “at the moment, it is still difficult to make a general recommendation, because we do not know very much about the optimum dose, formulation or length of treatment.” Future investigations into the matter will be necessary to make any definite determinations.
For now, the best preventive measure against the cold virus is to wash your hands frequently and thoroughly, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer as your backup. In addition, getting a sufficient amount of sleep can cut your risk of getting a respiratory infection. Research has also shown that regular exercise can help ward off the common cold. And, of course, a healthy diet including zinc can’t hurt. If you already have a cold, cough into your elbow instead of your hands to lessen the likelihood of your cold spreading to others.
